Your eyes are pretty darn similar to mine and the colors that tend to look best on me are golds/neutrals, purple, pinks, and green. I have dark enough lashes that I can go with brown or black liner/mascara, but it looks like your lashes are pretty light, so I think you should stick with brown.

Krina, I'd say that for me it was mostly trial and error, I haven't really found a book that was that helpful. The best thing I've done, though, was watch youtube makeup tutorials. You can search for whatever eyeshadow color or level of drama (like 'day look' vs. night), or a theme like a disney princess. I got into makeup only in the last few years, and it really is an entire world. I think the best way to do it is approach it like a six year old does and just try stuff. Just make sure you have makeup remover!

Btw I just bought my cousin this makeup pallet http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm/product/1667_122/ultra-shimmer-88-eye-shadow-palette.cfm for her 11th birthday. I'm jealous because I really want it!! It's supposed to be really good quality.

It all depends on the combination of your skin tone AND your hair colour. I am very, very pale (think Irish, but not quite - here, for your consideration, next to an actual Irishman), but my hair is really dark, almost black, and my eyebrows and eyelashes are a brown (I think) almost indistinguishable from black, if they are not actually black like I think they are. Anyway, I cannot wear grey eyeliner because it makes me look sick, and brown makes my eyes look funny. I only ever wear black, or black and like a wine colour (to bring out the green). Also I am pretty sure that if I could break the habit of pulling on my eyelashes, and incidentally occasionally pulling them out, I would probably not need mascara at all, but I would still wear black.

It really does just depend on you. If you are going for drama and artistry or theatrics, then it depends on the effect you are trying to achieve: if you want to be a faerie, lots of sparkles and purples and greens; if you want to be the Snow Queen, blues and whites.
