Meh. It's a good song.
BeoPuppy:
The original is better. Plus, it's not all that indicative of CoF's music.
Jed:
You are right about that. I have all the Cradle albums from Principle to Nymph. Though their newer stuff is crappier after Damnation. (Propably the reason I stopped buyin their albums.)
Back to topic: Kyprian's Circle = Really old black

--- Quote from: Caspian on 26 Jun 2009, 04:58 ---On another note, I notice you didn't mention any thrash- you don't care for it or something? Just curious, is all; I prefer it a fair bit over death metal myself.

I didn't mention any black or doom either. The dude gave a fairly good inidication of what he likes, nothing of whih really indicates his tastes draw him towards thrash atm. Several of my suggestions lead fairly obviously more toards thrash though, just as some begin to bridge out towards black, doom and folk.
Also, the 69 Eyes aren't metal. Maybe on one album (though even then debatable), but not the album you posted. They come from the same slick production/overdriven guitar school of 90's goth rock as Nosferatu, London After Midnight, Inkubus Sukkubus etc. which is more a logical outgrowth of old death rock bands like .45 Grave and Southern Death Cult via proto-industrial rock acts like Alien Sex Fiend than it is anything to do with metal. Compare early Type O Negative material to observe the crucial differences.
Also, if we're going to be chucking about Cradle of Filth tracks, there's only one we should be really talking about.
Seduction, my obsessive art
A pantheon of tragedies inscribed upon the stars
Like thistled ruin, garbed around thy heart
Bacchanal Cinderella, desirious midnight passed
Leaving thee as sacrifice asleep within my arms
'Midst dreams of robed redemption versed in sexual aftermath
When we ebb as tides together, carnal souls entwined
And orgasms expire, come puppet wires and the....BLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND
