RedLion:
Bruce Springsteen's "Badlands" -

English:

--- Quote ---Lights out tonight!
Trouble in the heartland,
I've got a head-on collision
smashing in my guts, man
I'm caught in a cross fire
I just don't understand.
--- End quote ---

-->Turkish-->Japanese-->Albanian-->Estonian-->English

--- Quote ---Lighting from today!
In order to solve major problems
The Clash of giant heads --
My heart, great
Crossfire is that I am in contact with
You do not understand me!
--- End quote ---

Also, on the matter of James Joyce, here's some Pynchon translated into Finnish, then Chinese, then back to English

Original:

But it is a curve each of them feels, unmistakably. It is the parabola. They must have guessed, once or twice — guessed and refused to believe — that everything, always, collectively, had been moving toward that purified shape latent in the sky, that shape of no surprise, no second chance, no return. Yet they do move forever under it, reserved for its own black-and-white bad news certainly as if it were the rainbow, and they its children.

Translated:

Nevertheless, this curve, each of which is correct. The is one of a parabola. They thought once or twice - to speculate, and not to believe that - all, all moving in the sky to clear the ancient form, a form is not by chance, no second chances, no return. Nevertheless, they always move in such a case, in order to keep their black and white, very bad news, if it is a rainbow children.

Even more post-moderny!

Christophe:
I am a patient boy
I wait, I wait, I wait
My time is water down a drain
Everybody's moving
Everybody's moving
Everybody's moving moving moving moving
Please don't leave me to remain
In the Waiting Room
I don't want the news (I've got no use for it)
I don't want the news (I won't live by it)
Sitting outside of town
Everybody's always down (Tell me why?)
Because they can't get up

translated through English --> Greek --> Filipino --> Hindi --> English

I'm a patient man
We, we, we wait wait wait
I have a water leak
All traffic
All traffic
Everybody, move, move, move
Please do not leave to stay
Office
I do not want the news (I can not use)
I do not want the news (We live)
Outside
Everybody's always down (Tell me why?)
As can be

MadassAlex:
From  The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring:

--- Quote from: Bilbo Baggins ---I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
--- End quote ---

English -> Japanese -> English

--- Quote from: Google Translator ---As I would not know the half of it myself, not just me, if they deserve less than half of your half.
--- End quote ---

halfhalfhalfhalf

Avec:
George Orwell, 1984, Book 1, Chapter 3

--- Quote ---"If the Party could thrust its hand into the past and say this or that even, it never happened—that, surely, was more terrifying than mere torture and death."
--- End quote ---

English -> Japanese -> English -> Portuguese -> French -> English

--- Quote ---"If the past of the party eliminated the hand and or that could never say this one which do not arrive here and, we of which do not fear certainly simply anguish or the death."
--- End quote ---

RallyMonkey:

--- Quote from: BeoPuppy on 23 Jul 2009, 01:51 ---That's one weird substitution. I find myself wondering what has brought that about. What was the machine thinking there?

--- End quote ---

After the first translation, it changed "ocean" to "hap", and it remained that way until the Chinese translation changed it to hepatitis A, which kind of makes sense.
