E! (and scarred?) I am glad to see that you have continued on in this endeavor. Although I am heartbroken over the lack of commentary about the winners and losers of the last match. HEARTBROKEN I SAY>
Anywho.
Radiohead - Kid A (Takk isn't even my third favorite Sigur Ros album)
The Weakerthans - Reconstruction Site (I have to vote against Yoshimi on principle. I was never impressed by that album at all.)
The Books - The Lemon of Pink (So very, very disappointed that Trail of Dead didn't beat Franz. C'mon, people. Double-u tee eff.)
Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga (Oh, Fugazi. You were so 90s.)
Low - Things We Lost in the Fire (I haven't heard either of these albums. How the hell did MONO beat Yeah Yeah Yeahs? I am appalled.)
Death From Above 1979 - You're a Woman, I'm a Machine (Great, great disc. "Romantic Rights" could have been the only song on that album and I'd still be voting for it here.)
Battles - Mirrored (Pleasantly surprised that this beat out Leviathan. Tons of amazing songs on this disc. Catchy when it shouldn't be. Straight-forward when you wouldn't expect. Amazing.)
Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlantacism (I thought this could have been a big upset, thought Lightning Bolt could have pulled it out. Truth is, though, I'm a little emo bitch at heart.)
LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver (HOW DID ICKY THUMP MAKE IT AND NOT WHITE BLOOD CELLS!?!?!!!111oneoneoneeleven. That is all.)
Mountain Goats - All Hail West Texas (Daft Punk is not my favorite type of dance music. Anywho, I'd rather hear John Darnielle spin tales about Denton Death Metal bands anyday.)
Iron & Wine - Our Endless Numbered Days (I'd have gone with The Creek Drank the Cradle over Our Endless Numbered Days.)
Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It In People (Grizzly Bear can be so boooooring sometimes.)
TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain (I'm not sure I get the mclusky hype.)
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm (No love for Mastodon in the first round, wow.)
The Postal Service - Give Up (I listen to more songs on Give Up than I listen to on Turn On the Bright Lights.)
Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? (Kind of sad the Knife beat Hercules and Love Affair, but it wouldn't have changed the outcome of this match.)
The Decemberists - Castaways & Cutouts (Another cerebral songwriter vs. Daft Punk. I go the same way as last time. It happens.)
Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy (Oh, what a fucking killer of a matchup. Black Sheep Boy holds a special place in my heart for some chillingly close-to-the-bone sentiments.)
Isis - Panopticon (I held out beleagured hope for Voxtrot here. Either way, I'm not a real Animal Collective guy, to be honest.)
Girl Talk - Feed the Animals (Hahahaha. These two albums going against each other is perfect. Didn't even realize I had set that up.)
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Yr Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven (What the hell is an Eluvium? Gotta say the lack of respect for pop and hip-hop on this board is bewildering.)
Stars - Set Yourself on Fire (Kind of expected M83 to win in the first round. Like I said, I'm not a real big Animal Collective guy, that applies for side-projects, too.)
Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene (I think the three seed had the worst first round of any other seed.)
Modest Mouse - The Moon & Antarctica (Ahh, here's where all the M83 votes went. No love for Gorillaz in the first round, either.)
Elliott Smith - From A Basement on the Hill (Not near Elliott's best work but - Oh, is this a theme? - I don't like Animal Collective
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (Thought about voting last round for Fiona Apple just on the basis of "Not About Love" alone, then I remembered how strong YHF is front to back. Can't believe BMSR beat the Microphones.)
The Strokes - Is This It? (I've always just liked Yo La Tengo. Never loved.)
Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun (Why did Soulwax beat Ted Leo? Why? I am upset.)
Arcade Fire - Funeral (MONSTER matchup here. Hard to believe that Sufjan only barely made it into the tournament. But I love waving my arms around and screaming lines like "I guess we'll just have to adjuuuuuuuuuust!")
Radiohead - In Rainbows (I have nothing interesting to say here.)
Arcade Fire - Neon Bible (Given time to separate Neon Bible from its predecessor, it's actually a very good disc in its own way. I used to not think so, but it has grown on me.)
Mogwai - Mr. Beast (Awww. Unwound, I still love you! It's okay!)
Still kind of in shock and awe about no love for JT, Lil Wayne, Outkast, Gnarls Barkley or any other spectacular myriad pop acts. Really? Dead Meadows is better than Futuresex/Lovesounds? Or Stankonia? Craziness.
