I'll wait until we hear more definitive details about the game before I make any judgment. I did still enjoy Twilight Princess, even if it was a pretty uninspired attempt to make an Ocarina of Time 2. I got about halfway through Spirit Tracks and kind of lost interest, though. I want to go back and finish it eventually, but I had real trouble getting enthusiastic about it.

Twilight Princess was probably the most enjoyment I've gotten out of a game in the last 5 years. Maybe longer. Eagerly awaiting whatever follows it.

I will buy and play the shit out of this game. Even if it is only a title screen saying "Fuck You, we are Nintendo and we can do everything." That's how much I love Zelda games.

Wind Waker was 2003, dude. That doesn't preclude Twilight Princess from being his favorite game of the last 5 years.

Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

Then choose your least favourite plague and avoid Majora's Mask (best Zelda game ever) like it

Majora's Mask scared me. But it was satisfying to actually finish it.
But I love every Zelda game. I am a total fanboy, and I assume it.

The title made me think...doesn't Link lose his sword at least once in just about every game?

My problem with new Zelda is that is doesn't/can't have the nostalgia value of Ocarina of Time.

Yes, it is stating the obvious, obviously, but it obviously can't happen for obvious reasons.

I've found it hard to start getting excited over new Zelda ever since Wind Waker, though, no matter how much I enjoyed Twilight Princess

Edit: okay that was oddly worded but whatever

They're talking about releasing it this year and then someone else says they'll release it "when it's done." And yet we haven't seen a single screenshot at all.  Just that same, very boring, concept art.  I've seriously lost any interest in Nintendo since they've released the Wii.  Especially when they started pulling out those old gamecube games and re-releasing them with motion support.  And then with Wii Sports and Fit and Resort, they lost me. I think it's bad when I get more excited talking about the third-party stuff on the Wii like Murumasa, Madworld, House of the Dead, No More Heroes, than I am talking about Nintendos offering.

And when exactly are they going to announce Pikmin 3?
