It's the Special Edition, which is the original VGA one + a graphically update version with voice acting, which you can switch between on the fly while playing.

You're right that I should get it because I've never played it, but I can't imagine how it could be better to the original. Insult swordfighting was a brilliant game mechanic.

As far as I can tell from playing it, they didn't change the script when they made the update. The "classic" mode is more or less a perfect re-creation of the original game.

That was one of the things they made sure of. They wanted it to basically be the same game with better graphics and voice acting, not a reimagining of the game or whatever. Note to self: get ben to get that/ see if he has it on steam
