I had never had a sunburn until this summer. I spent most of my summers on the beach as a kid and in the summer I am a tan mother fucker.
It was during a sandcastle building competition after an insane night of drinking and debauchery until like 6am, we started building at 8:30am. We take our sandcastles very seriously here! Our project this year was sort of haphazard especially considering the level of hang-over, but the idea wasn't so much a castle as much as a city built around a mountain with an interior slice cut out so people could walk through
This is what we had done by about 9:30ish
As you can see it was beginning of a massive undertaking, I wish I had a photo of it all completed but the camera batteries died around 11, at which point the interior of the structure was looking like this:
Sadly it's not refined in this photo at all, when we stopped building, around 4, it was pretty majestic. We did not win however due to the fact that we did not know that it was the navy's birthday of like 100 years or whatever so we were supposed to somehow have tributes, or something. I've been doing this for 3 years in a row now and this is the first year we didn't place. :c
ALSO RESULTING SUNBURN DO NOT GO OUT IN THE SUN HUNGOVER. It apparently helps the sunburn destroy you. The worst part was I was wearing sunscreen but the resulting rolling around in the sand and swimming rubbed it off in like 20 minutes :c I was super tan by this point too. Ughghh.
Also to all you complaining about the sun it snow today and I still have my flannel sheets out, screw you guys >:C
