I've seen a couple of those gigapixel photos before, amazing stuff. But your post reminded me of this. A unique view of the film Bladerunner with all the frames laid out as a 60,000 x 60,000 pixel image.

I'm sorry, but that laughing cow is just plain cheesy.

Confession: It took the live-in of a dairy farmer friend at a rural happy hour tonight to tell me the cow was photoshopped.

Bwahaha. Great find.

Redball, of course the cow is photoshopped, it's a huge red head floating above the ground. No, seriously, do you know the farmer in question, and in that case I'm more interested in knowing how the horse got stuck there.

I came to the conclusion that either the horse or the bars were photoshopped as well. No idea where the image came from. Perhaps the French company that makes the cheese. I questioned on FB if it would be French humor for the cow to laugh at the expense of the horse.

No, that horse is legit stuck, you can tell by the hoof marks at the rear, where it's been trying to step through. It probably put its head through, and the torso followed at an angle, with some serious horsepower behind it...

I've dealt with large dogs in similar situations, it's amazing what they can get stuck in.

Horrible boating experience

That loaded very slowly, and so It went frame-by-frame from funny (she lost her glasses) to awful (she lost her lunch) to horrifying (WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO CAPTAIN AHAB?) in a way that you don't really notice when it runs full speed.

I didn't see anyone upchuck in that video... and that was after watching the actual one with a slow-mo repeat here.

The center girl, after losing her sunglasses, sends lunch down behind the yellow bikini girl, into the seat.

It loaded really slowly.

I watched the slow-mo repeatedly at that point, looking for it. None there that I see, though she's doubled over the seat for a second.

Who else would risk being crushed? In fact, doesn't seem suspicious that the video ended just where it did, just before we might have seen him deformed between handle and the pallet behind him?

You can see based on the way the boxes bounce a bit that there wasn't enough momentum to continue carrying through to pinch him between and that he sticks his butt out some to keep from going in too close. I'm guessing there was also something on the other side of the pallet to stop it from crushing him.

In Australia they are called "pallet trucks" or "pallet trolleys". It is normal for the wheels at the handle end to have rubber tyres, while the rollers at the end of the forks are bare steel that doesn't grip the floor much, so I can imagine how he swung it round. Pallet trucks are fairly heavy, however, so I don't believe in the speed of that video, but he must be pretty beefy.

The pallet-trucks are called "ant" in german. The electrical ones with the long forks that can lift two stacks at once are called "donkey" :)

I operate an electrical "ant" on my mini-job and can report that they are quite maneuverable and fun to play with (when the boss isn't around).

The thing with those pallets and jacks, is that unless you have the jack perfectly lined up, it'll usually hit one of the support bits inside. So, it'll go in, but not all the way in enough to squish the guy standing on it. Those jacks can also be quite heavy, so even if he was sticking his butt out (which doesn't appear to be too much the case to me), which leads me to believe that that jarred boxes are due to the points of the jack hitting the wood on the inside.

Yeah, I think he does bump up against them, because of the way he was standing (shoulders slightly in front of hips). But upon watching it again a couple times the initial jarring is from the jack hitting the pallet.
