Because it's disrespectful towards god. or other people there. Or a preacher. Or not why people go to church, you know, to foster their close personal relationship with their spiritual world.

I'm an atheist and even I see the issue here.

Method of Madness:
Not necessarily, some people go to church for the community, and why not go there to meet people who probably have similar values to you?

Metope:
Well, how about the people who go there specifically to get some peace of mind and being able to think? And then some creep comes up and starts hitting on you, no thanks.
