Thrillho:
I still maintain it's not even that good a ratio. I still loathe half of the songs that people seem to think are the better ones like 'Happiness Is A Warm Gun.' I hate those songs that are clearly two separate songs badly stitched together, usually because a shitload of drugs have been taken.
Admittedly, The Beatles on their worst day is still better than most bands at their best - hence songs like 'Birthday' or 'Why Don't We Do It In The Road' being surprisingly decent despite really just being absolute dogshit when you give them more than a moment's examination.

"Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" is wonderful though and I won't hear otherwise.

What if I told you,
there's no real difference between paranoia and intuition...?
Welu:
Paranoia is just intuition proven wrong!
Alternatively:
Intuition is just paranoid proven right!

the nicest thing I can say about that song is that it's a great political and social commentary that is totally relevant today, which is depressing. otherwise, that song is complete shit, and fuck you for reminding me it exists.
also I am going to disagree strongly with you on the merits "Warm Gun," I think that song's a damn masterpiece. the polyrhythm during the solo, the 10/4 "Mother Superior" part, the 3/4 vs. 4/4 polyrhythm when "Happiness" starts... it all feels so natural to me, and considering how fucking crazy different it gets, that's a tough feat to accomplish.
