I used to call my brother Afro until he yelled at me for it, then I called him Bfro. That got shafted once people at school started calling him Jewfro.

Age. Welcome to the times of inexplicable change.
My wife's hair went from stick-straight to wavy after our first child was born. She blames the hormones.
I grew an inch (!!) in the legs at the age of 25. Had to get all new pants.
You never stop growing and changing, and you never know what or when it will happen. I got my first super-long eyebrow hair the other day. Soon, I'll probably be able to use them as shelves...
