1. I just plucked a curly, very silver hair off of my head. It's actually quite pretty and if that's what my hair will look like when I'm older, I am totally ok with that.
2. That hair, like most of the hair on the back of my head is curly. I have always had very straight hair. I don't understand what's going on with the back of my head, but it looks a hot mess.

I used to think I had straight hair. Then when I stopped brushing it, it curled up. So, I'm getting used to the fact that my hair isn't as straight as I thought.

Thatīs the thing! The consistency is between wax and mousse, so the hair is definitley not hard as stone or glossy or anything but rather dull, fuzzy and it stays the way you mess it up and you can still touch it without it being sticky :)
Maybe take this to the Hair-Thread :psyduck:

I almost always comb my hair after a shower while my hair is still wet and have been for years. It's only been within the past 6 months or so that I've noticed only the back does not air dry straight, it gets really wavy. (And not in a pleasant way, it looks weird.) But the front dries straight. I've had the same routine since middle school and my hair has been pretty consistent. Until now. Also when I blow dry my hair, everything is pretty consistent and no, I do not brush my hair while dying it. I comb out tangles, use the dryer until it feels mostly dry, let it cool down, and then I comb it again. (I use wide toothed combs, not the ones with teeth super close together.)
So... I don't really know what is to blame.
