I'm opting for: it was all just a dream and Marten wakes up after his first time with padma. No one ever talks about it.

Hannelore apparently agrees.

... Y'know, the intent was different, but the results are kinda the same as those of Station's prank on Abbie. So what kind of holopony will da H-bomb have to provide in recompense?

Marten will have to explain to her why what she did was wrong, and she will freak out about it and have an anxiety attack, and it will be decided that that is punishment enough. (Not that it is, but they'll want to calm her down.)

Or ... Hannelore's remorse/horror/shame/whatever for the results of her outburst undoes all or part of the mental-health progress she's made. Potential, if ironic, rescuer: Marigold, who at least attempt to reassure her it's OK. Station just might remote himself into boyfriendbot as an on-site therapist.

Or ... Marigold stands up to Faye.

Or ... Faye forgoes the opportunity to be dickish (I see what I didn't mean to do there).

Or ... This is another one of the seemingly catastrophic setups that revs up the Forum Speculation Engine (yeah, I know, glass houses), but ends in the next day's strip with nothing significantly happening as a result.

Feh. There will be no repercussions from Hannelore embarrassing Marigold what so ever. Zip. Zero. When was the last time Hanners made a social gaffe and was called on it in-comic.

Marten didn't like Hannelore's "woman of the world" question and he doesn't look happy about this either.

I have to get some sleep or something but first I had to check if the comic was up.

And then I had to comment on how Hanners looks pretty adorable, but also sort of terrifying with the one-eye-bigger-than-the-other thing she's got going on. Maybe that's just the angle, though.

She may be gently told off for spilling sensitive information like that in such an...insensitive way, but I think if it DOES happen it will be pretty light and probably won't be shown. It's pretty clear that she wasn't trying to embarrass Marigold on purpose, she's just excited for her.

I'm with Faye on this one.  Yeah, I know the backstory, but if I were presented with this outburst, I'd definitely have a "need to know" reaction.  (and I don't need to know, thanks, really, I don't...)

Even when totally embarrassing one of her best friends, Hanners manages to look cute.

I think Faye has the right idea about this at the moment - But will need further details in case Francis shows up.

Jeph has not made me burst out laughing this hard for a while. The good ol' element of surprise.

But yeah, as cute/hilarious as Hanners is, someone needs to pull the reins on her voyeurism before she breaks loose. Really girl, that's the first thing you say when you walk through the door?

For a while now, Hannelore has reminded me of a (now-former) co-worker: Blonde, tall and scrawny, fussy, cute in some undefinably scary way, devoted, smart but not fully-developed in the discretion department, naive but with some sense of (other-)worldliness and, yes, apt to blurt out the strangest damn thing for no reason that is immediately apparent or logical.

"Marigold touched a wiener!" pretty much cemented the resemblance.

And the lady I'm thinking of wasn't even the strangest person at the place where I used to work.

Then again, while Marten and Marigold have never been in space before and would be excited about weightlessness, lasers, space ham and so on, it's all old hat to Hanners, so she's going to be excited about something that's never been seen before, right?

That's a good point, actually. For Hanners, the space element of this trip was almost irrelevant. Suddenly her focus on that one detail makes much more sense.

I'm joining the Faye bandwagon in how to respond to this.

So, what, two strips catching up with Faye, the rest of the week touching base with the rest of the regulars?

This could be seen as an interesting, somewhat roundabout way of Marigold paying for this bit of embarrassment. But Hannelore wouldn't be that evil.
