why is it that forum meetups always happen in London? The last forum I was in also met up in London.

They happen all over the world. Mainly in the US. But there are just enough UK people here to warrant a (apprently second) meetup.

I don't think so. I'd need to be at the O2 for 6. (The tickets say 7 but emails say 6, also not sure if that's door opening or show start) and I think it'd take at least an hour to get there from Kings Cross.

Edit: Doors open at 6.

Past QC meetups have included: Chicago, Toronto, SF, and Boston (twice!)

And I think there was one on a boat in England once.

I had hoped to be able to make Monday, but I really can't now as a meeting I shouldn't miss has appeared at short notice. Also I lost a day (today) this weekend going to London for a funeral of a friend who goes back to university.

well, another Forum I'm in is rather regularly meeting in the Netherlands. Still too far away for me. Even Berlin is too far. Only big place I could do is Hamburg. Maybe some place in Denmark would be possible too. But if anybody ever happens to visit Kiel, shoot me a message!

Well, my grandparents really live in the most northern place: Flensburg. You could walk across the border from there. On the other hand, everything southern from Hamburg seems like southern Germany to me.
