Mind holding off until Sunday or so? I want to read some past games first.

There's nothing to it really. Just a couple of general tips:
Like Linds said, don't be too quiet, it tends to get people killed.
Conversely, don't be too talkative either, as it tends to make people suspicious. Just keep it normal.
If you're suggesting people to lynch, try to have at least a reason to lynch them, otherwise people will be suspicious.
As an aside, could it be possible that we keep what happened in other games in those games? It sometimes seems like people are using previous games as an excuse for lynching. Its not a huge thing, but it kinda puts people at a disadvantage.

I don't see a reason to hold it off; the first day is usually slow enough that you'd have time, and it's not like you need to read all seven of them to understand the core concepts.

Look, I know you guys want me in on one of these things, but dangitall I do NOT have the time to do this. Even if it's an average game time of about two-three weeks. My schedule is unpredictable at times, and me being on 3rd shift doesn't help.
