I dunno, the nudist guy seems to have a lot more meat on his hips (and other body parts) than the pizza guy. Also he's not wearing glasses. I suppose he could be wearing contacts, but I don't think it's the same guy.

Jeph only has a few stock "old guys", unlike his seemingly endless supply of young women.

Even if Skylon ever gets made, I won't trust something sounds like a hybrid of Skynet and the Cylons...
Fun fact. Skynet actually already exists and predates Terminator by 15 years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skynet_%28satellite%29

It's a centerfold of the new model of the Jude Law chassis.

The words "writhing" and "erection" are two more words to put on the list of Words That Should Not Be Seen Together, right alongside combinations like "frenetic zombie masturbation", "ocular feces insertion" and "clitoral elephantiasis".

Yeah, I bet zombies hate it when they're masturbating frenetically and their schlong falls off...

After Faye explains the meaning of "Fat Bottomed Girls" in #537, Marten comments about how he didn't know that Freddie Mercury knew so much about astrophysics. Freddie Mercury wasn't an astrophysicist, but Brian May is.

Hanners does, and that's the only ship that floats!

This reminds me of a question I've been wanting to ask... Who is the guy in the comic where Faye asked Hanners who her ideal man is and we saw Hanners' thought bubble about him, and then we see Faye saying "I'm pretty sure he's gay"

I have always wondered who that guy is - is he based on a real person or is he just someone Jeph made up?

I am disappointed you needed to be told who Mr. Clean is. He's THE Mr. Clean. He is so clean. He has no hair on his body, anywhere. He only wears white, and he doesn't even have hair because dead keratin is too much of a mess. He epitomizes cleanliness.

Oh I was trying to be facetious about it. There's nothing wrong with not knowing of a fictional character. Mr. Clean is just an amusingly stereotypical concept of a cleanly person. Sorry if I offended anybody.

Which reminds me of the old joke about the old lady who calls the cops because there's a naked man standing at the window of his house and she can see him.

The cop looks out the window and says he can't see anything.

"Well of course!" the lady says. "You have to stand on this box and use these binoculars!"

This discussion is reminding me of a video that plays with African American stereotypes, but replacing a certain word with "ginga", and adding a few redhead stereotypes. (And then another one that swaps in eastern Asian stereotypes, and uses "ninja".)

It degenerated to one-offs after Ethan left the store anyway.  There's an occasional storyline, but nothing of note.

My first exposure to Willis & crew was through "Dumbing of Age", probably via QC. I tried going back and reading the original "It's Walky" comic that I think eventually became "Shortpacked", but I found it too confusing to keep up with two different origins for the same group of people, and I wasn't finding IW as interesting once it got weird with the science-fictiony stuff (and I like science fiction, but this seemed a little too "Sluggy Freelance" for me), so I stopped reading it and stuck with DoA. I figured I'd have the same problem if I started reading "Shortpacked", too, so I haven't even looked at it.

To get back to the original topic, I want to talk about something that I've noticed for a while now.

Has Jeph some relationship to Germany or German?

Probably I notice that so much because I'm German, but I've seen some comics which were titled with German phrases/words. With some of them the reason is obvious (e.g. two strips which refer to Ellen Allien: Stadtkind and Tschüss), but with some others I can't see why they are named that way. Recently there was Auf Wiedersehen, then there is Guten Abend, and another curious example is this one. That one is interesting in particular, as it's listed as "Hilfe Mich" in the archive list. I'd interpret that in the way that Jeph originally called the strip "Hilfe Mich" (Help me, but completely wrong grammatically), somebody told him that it's wrong, and he changed the title to "Hilfe".

Another thing I noticed is that in these strips Faye is obviously wearing a German soccer jersey. The logo on the chest is a variation of the German "Bundesadler", and around that it even reads "Deutscher Fussball-Bund". Comparison here:

I'm not judging your Twitter, I'm judging your use of tiny font. (For the record, cesium, I agree with Pintsize but don't outright disagree with Faye and Angus. "Rosanna" is solid, sure, but compared to the other two songs? Not even close.)
