I think there was a Star Trek: TNG episode that was specifically about that!

They ended up pairing that colony with another colony and everyone ended up having 3 spouses each to increase the genetic variation in the population. SO a woman would have 3 husbands and husbands would have 3 wives etc etc etc

The lanterns read 马到成功, which is an idiom meaning "achieve immediate success", but literally it translates as "horses arrive success" (think of the cavalry riding to the rescue in old Westerns). The oval in top-right reads 31st year of the 60-year Chinese astrological cycle; in this context 2014.

Not a bad person, just twisted enough to see the value in dark humor. It's a coping mechanism for us but I think a solid life skill for any one.

In other news I am absolutely SHOCKED Hasbro got the Chinese on that box in any manner of right. That's pretty cool. I have a special image to welcome the year of the horse here and on various social media (I was born in the year of the horse, and I've always been a fan of the same so I happen to be particularly enthused for this particular year), but I'll save that till Friday.
