I disagree. Listen to Chinese, or Indian music and it will be as alien to you as their languages. Well, maybe slightly less thanks to people like Debussy, but it will still be wildly different from Western music.

So I watched the ice skating, and as I am prone to do, I was too lazy to turn off my back ground music when clicking on the link. Just so happens that Zepplin's In the Evening had just queued up, oh... 15 or so seconds earlier. It was eerie how closely it followed the routine. Though much less dramatic, I imagine that must have been something like figuring out the Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz thing.
