The Pokemon images BK just posted look like the concept art of the bosses in The Legend of Zelda on NES. Pretty cool.

I have an acquaintance who recently implied that this Eleanor person may have better stage presence than Annie Lennox. Really, I think it's good that people get these sort of opinions out in the open so I know not to solicit them for advice in the future when it's something important.

I like Chrome better than any of those.

I appreciate what they are trying to do with Chrome, but by now I can't use any browser without adblock/noscript for more than about 10 mins before I go crazy from all the extraneous shit everywhere, so until they have add-on support I can't use it seriously :(

Yeah, it really comes down to preferences. Personally, I don't give a crap about addons. Chrome's minimalism and intuitive UI fits me like a glove. I get kind of pissy if forced to use IE or Firefox now.

Yeah, I love the minimalist interface and love the breakdown of memory used and the better memory management in general.  Add-ons are my main gripe, but I'd also love to have a bit more access to settings without resorting to an about:config-style page, as their options/settings dialog is minimalist to the point of being downright spartan.

I can definitely understand that. I'm just in a position where being a power user wouldn't really bring me any real benefits. I'm a creature of habit so I pretty much used the url bar for everything even before I got my grubby li'l hands on that lovely omnibox, which alongside general zippiness is a huge plus. Most importantly of all, my internet use is pure leisure time on my very own home connection and I don't even really download things very often. If I had to goof around with say, proxies to get at content, wanted to use my browser to poke around on an ftp server or even just wanted a more robust way of keeping up with website updates, firefox would hold a lot more appeal to me. But as it is, I use my browser for bullshitting, fantasy sports, and checking on Achewood.

Minor correction: great-grandson. I was confused at first because I'm reading the article and that's not his grandson's name, then at the bottom of the article I notice that's his great-grandson's name.

Yet another "Future Calvin & Hobbes" but this time pretty good.

I like this one because (a) it actually captures the original artwork style pretty well and (b) Calvin looks like he "should".  That is, his face is reminiscent of both Mom and Dad from the original comic, especially Mom.  It's no secret that kids tend to resemble their parents, but too many artists seem to forget that.
