The comments on that article from the Somebody Think of the Children guy who wrote the original article and a lady from the Sex Party show that breast size was a reason cited by the ACB as to why they refused classification. I don't see why this should be brought up in this thread, but Fiona Patten commented and said this:

Man. Judd Apatow's movies are not funny. Pineapple Express was not funny, and dude still has a problem writing women.

I don't know. I guess because I just don't think "lol we're high" is funny that I just don't get that movie(Pineapple Express). I don't think I should be high to appreciate something. I was once complaining about Sarah Silverman, because I do not think she is funny, even after sitting through Jesus Is Magic, and someone told me I needed to be high to appreciate her. And they were serious. What. A good comedian isn't someone who relies on you not being sober to be funny. I can watch Henry Rollins and laugh my ass off, but Sarah Silverman its like damn, you are trying way too hard.

I thought Pineapple Express was hilarious and I saw it stone cold sober. Unless popcorn slathered in copious amounts of butter counts.

I also really enjoyed Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin. I guess some comedy isn't for everyone.

Agree with you on the Silverman point though. I find her sort of funny for like, the first half hour or so of her standup, and then it just gets ridiculous and stupid. Her TV show is just painful.

I saw Pineapple Express sober, and was told the reason I didn't find it funny was because I wasn't high, so thats why I said that. I mean, there were some parts where I giggled, but on a whole I just don't see pot smoking culture as something to glorify. I don't think its funny.

That said, yeah, I smoke pot. Not often, but I do. I don't see anything wrong with it. I just think it's dumb to make it into a big deal.

Pineapple Express was not Apatow directed or written, he was co-credited for "story" and as a producer.

The movies that you can really blame on Apatow over the past few years are the ones he directed: Funny People, Knocked Up, and the 40 Year Old Virgin.
