Guys, can I ask why you don't button up the bottom button of a suit jacket? On three button suits it's fine but I often think on suits with only two buttons it looks dumb. Why do you still hold to this? Is there a practical reason?

There is a practical reason because single breasted jackets are not cut to have the bottom button buttoned the fabric becomes stretched and looks dumb.
As an aside, single breasted jackets are never buttoned while sitting, while double breasted jackets are never unbuttoned, even when sat.
