I think the bottom button makes it a bit more sharp looking, unless I have a big belly at the time. If I like the shirt I am wearing a lot I will unbutton my jacket to sit, if not, I will undo the bottom button to sit and re-do it to stand unless it is a lot of ups and downs.

For the record, i really enjoy typing "bottom button buttoned" and variations thereof.

Don't button the bottom button.
