This used to happen to the guitarist in my band pretty much every time we played. He'd start out with a pick, then lose it somehow and keep playing, and by the end of the show he'd be bleeding all over the place. Nice one.

I feel like it was some punk band, black flag maybe, who had a guitarist turn all his dials up and seal the guitar with superglue since he bled so much while playing.

that's why i started taking portraits of people only from the neck down

if someone knows they are getting photographed, their face will lie to you. it's much harder to lie with your body, so headless portraits, in my opinion, are much more "honest"

That's fairly interesting. I knew a girl once who wouldn't photograph anyone if they were posing or looking at the camera because she thought the exact same thing. She'd go out with a large group of her friends and catch them off guard, and she did it really well. Her photography was very beautiful.

I feel kind of the same way. I hate posing for pictures in large part because it feels so unrealistic and stupid.
