It was not some huge faux pas that people remarked on, but nobody ever did that either. It wasn't until many years later living in the States that I even realized I didn't put utensils on my plate, because that's the first time anyone ever remarked on it.

(incidentally, I grew up in Korea)

The chopsticks thing depends a bit I guess, none of the koreans here ever do that (nor do the japanese). When eating by myself or with only other westerners I will do it for convenience but I will carefully avoid it if eating out or with asians and I will quietly advise others to do it if I see it; I dislike doing that for fear of looking arrogant/like a weaboo but the Japanese have an unfortunate tendency to judge an entire group poorly if someone makes a social faux pax.

From what Jimmy tells me, you can get chopsticks that have splinters on the ends that go in your mouth? If so I would see no issue with doing it (though i suppose you could take them with your hands). Also, if you are not in Asia or eating at some super traditional place (where you are unlikely to get shit disposable chopsticks anyway) then who gives a fuck, I only do it due to my Circumstances.

No, it is actually incredibly short. As in, can't bend over without flashing my underwear to everyone type of short. It's also mostly backless, so there is kind of more skin than dress.

Not really. One of the girls yelled at her boyfriend and covered his eyes every time I went near the stairs. The same girl did tell me I had "fucking AMAZING legs" though.
