Yeah my uni has some pretty interesting rules, like "no driving during term time" and "no working during term time" and "no walking on the grass" (that's not all the grass, it isn't the grass at my college

) and "don't walk through the middle gate at Clare College". That last one may be a superstition rather than a rule though.

To be honest this is not a car city; most of the roads get shut during the day and you would have go to out of the city and onto the ring road to drive what would otherwise be a five minute walk. Also there isn't space to keep them; many of the buildings pre-date the combustion engine.

The same was true of my college, but we also were in the middle of a city, not all of which predated the combustion engine (even the parts that definitely did were laid out for wagons and such).

The buses aren't great either, Barmymoo. They've got better recently but still...

The upside is that no matter where you live in town it's less than an hour's walk to any other point, and most of the routes are picturesque.

It occurs to me that a place on the river might be nice. Take a boat to work!

I use it to make tape life sized people and no it doesn't hurt because there's a method to doing it so the tape doesn't stick to me. It's just hard not to cut your clothes.

When I've made tape mannequin type stuff in the past I've usually just done it in sections, rolling the back side of the tape against my skin and leaving the sticky part facing out, then when I'm done with the section I just go over it again with more tape, backwards. I do not know Andy's method though.

Yeah, my minimum coverage motorcycle insurance is $30 a month, which is cheaper than car insurance. Also no accidents of violations. In a few months, I expect it to reduce a pretty good amount (when I turn 25).

This right here is why I'm glad I'm out of art school. Just change the "To eat out of," to "It's a fucking bowl," and you've got what I said at those kinds of critiques. The one good thing about critiques is you can swear and sometimes your professor will too!

Guys, I will probably chicken out and not go as him anyway, but I think maybe you are thinking too much into this. I forget sometimes how much time I spend on the internet compared to a lot of people, and I personally know people who only just came upon the Chuck Norris meme an find it hilarious. There are also people out there who don't know who he is, y'know? This was a thing that came up in gabbly (I think the conversation was something to do with the worst idea for a slutty costume) that I found hilarious, because it would be so terrible. I am going to see a band who in their music videos dressed up as evangelists and busked in a mall to their song, did skydiving in tuxedos, and staged a skipping competition based in the 80's wearing matching tracksuits. If I make someone laugh that night it will be worth it.

But like I said, I probably won't wear the costume, especially if it takes too much effort to get everything ready in time.

That totally reminds me of when I was in a band that had a limbo competition on stage. Oddly enough, the freakishly short girl (probably half my height) did not win. My fingers did get tired, because it took a while and we had some goofy music going the entire time to accompany it.
