Getting shot in the mouth can actually end it quickest of all if you're getting shot from below and the bullet is traveling upwards at an angle. If you're getting shot straight-on, a fist-sized area centered on the bridge of the nose will do the trick. It's all about destroying the brain stem. Anything else and you actually do take some time to die, or might even live. I used to read books about snipers in high school.
