I hung out with my almost step-niece today at the lake. It was super fun and she enjoyed eating my purse, phone, and knee. Plus she's totally stylish with her babyhawk/pompadour/david dovey/rihanna hair there. She has never had a haircut, it just grows that way I guess.

Alright, Philly weekend photodump coming up, but first a little bit of a backstory... my gf (lives in detroit) was going to Philly mid-june to take one of two really huge qualifying exams needed to finish med school. I figured I would be super romantic and fly in and propose to her after her test. Needless to say I'm not very subtle and somewhere around christmas time she figured out my plans, so I proposed earlier than planned. Hanging out in Philly still seemed like a fun time, so we met up there anyway.

This one will take some explaining. In college one of my BFFs was an Italian guy named Dave. Apparently "Goomba" (like the mario bros. mushrooms) is an offensive slang for Italians. This was the sign on the men's bathroom door of a pretty sweet italian restaurant. I am going to print this photo, frame it, and send it to my buddy.

I had a pretty ok weekend too! Chris got in an accident and smooshed up my car last week, so Saturday was spent up to my elbows in grease taking it apart to see what broke.
But Sunday I got to hang out with Rosie and be celtic:)

Chris decided to give the scottish games a try at the festival we all volunteer at... chain bundle tossing will for sure be the next olympic event.
