It has one deal on at a time at 60-70% off. Its generally surf/skate brands, but sometimes there are things like Vestal watches or various headpohnesand stuff.

Monochrome black leather chucks.

Insides of mine dont exist anymore

My black leather PF Flyers have lasted me about a year but now there are holes in basically every component of the shoe that is not the leather.

Well yes, Ill be honest. The leather is in good shape, its every other component, the insole, outsole and linings that are shot to shit.

Yup. I think in terms of shoes though I'm still wearing one pair all the goddamned time which really is just an extension of not really thinking about my shoes at all.
It used to be:

"Mom bought you new shoes! Wear these shoes."
Many moons pass...
"Those shoes have holes in them! Mom bought you new shoes! Wear these shoes."
etcet, etcet.

And now it is the same except for buying the shoes myself. And occasionally wondering whether or not my shoes are falling apart as they slowly become dust. Maybe in the future I will have a few pairs of shoes that I rotate.

Well since shoes arent really a universal all weather all style kind of thing, a man who only owns one at a time shouldnt really be commenting on shoe advice in a fashion thread.

Ouch, umm, all right. I wasn't really commenting on fashion, I suppose, so much as the durability of shoes, and further speculating that my shoes are probably more worn out than they might be if they weren't my only shoes. And yet your shoes are apparently in the same state, though perhaps they took longer than mine to reach this point.

There's no reason to get huffy over someone making a comment about shoe durability if they only have one pair of shoes. It wasn't a statement about fashion, per se, but about how long his shoes held up.

Yeah, I didn't really figure you were being as mean as that could have come off. I figure I'll extort new shoes out of my parents when they see what bad condition the ones I've got are in. Plus I need boots for the winter. Hmm.

I do actually have another pair of shoes
but they are definitely not all-weather all-occasion. I'd been wearing them somewhat omnivorously, until they got so scuffed that I kind of feel ashamed to wear them. I'm got to clean them up and make the suede look nice before I can wear them out again.

I bought a dress for a wedding.

I love it, and I'm pretty sure I'm going with that makeup (but less eyebrows) but what the hell accessories do I wear? I tried on a bunch of different styles of necklaces and I'm not sure on any. I have giant bright colored pendant style necklaces, subdued bronze and gold beads on dainty little gold chain style necklaces, pearl necklaces (I don't like that one, the top part is the same color as my pearls, an ivory color), chunky metal chain style necklaces... bracelets, rings... I can't decide what I like. I'm sure any will go okay and all but still. I think I'm going purples with it as I have a pretty purple pair of wedges and also I will have a fresh purple tattoo.

Awesome wedges!
I'd maybe go with chunky wrist accessories, since the neckline and those awesome boobs are keeping the top area pretty busy.
Yay for black tights!

I'm fairly certain most of the outfits I could wear are less than I could probably spend on lunch, even in this city.

That said, I don't like the outfit, but we clearly have quite differing styles.  I don't feel qualified to judge the merits of something that is something I don't like based on the style of it.  Maybe it also should be noted that the sweater does kind of look like something my grandmother used to wear.

I think if a girl is strutting down the street in a cold city in (very warm!) tights, then logic dictates that no, she did not forget pants.

(seriously, tights are just tight pants without seams. Come on guys.)

It's taken a long time for me to come around, but I've decided that canadian art students are allowed to not wear pants, so long as they aren't fat, because no matter what they wont look like the godawful sorority girls on my campus who try to get away with it. I will continue to wear pants, but I'll defend Andy's right to wear what she likes:)

Andy that is a nice outfit, especially for $12 dollars.

The shoes are also props.

I suppose I may have developed a knee-jerk reaction from the many horrible combinations of tight tights and super-big and baggy tops I've seen - so many people just can't pull it off that I think it's best avoided by everyone. :P By all means, wear what you want, but my personal opinion is that tights should not be worn as pants with regular-length shirts, though they're okay with longer tunics.

so long as they aren't fat

 :|
I'm a curvy girl myself, but I have to say: ESPECIALLY this. On thin girls they're barely tolerable, on big girls - not so. Some styles just aren't meant for bigger ladies. (or, er, for anyone - but some especially don't work on larger frames.)

Took the words right out of my mouth. :P It's the same logic as not wearing clothes several sizes smaller or larger than yourself. Some things, curvy girls can pull off better than 'straight' girls, other things are the other way around, and it's nothing anyone should be ashamed of. (though it can be frustrating when you love a style but know it wouldn't work on you. x3)

And if you happen to actually look like a sausage in a variety of outfits?  How now?

ETA: I don't actually know what point I'm arguing.  I just sort of on some level reject the fact that a fat ass should be classified as a fashion faux-pas in the same (mental) breath as UGG boots and the like.  I don't particularly like looking at big butts sagging in tights, but I figure different strokes.

Unless you ARE a sausage (in which case, how are you typing?), most shapes can be complimented. You just have to find the right style. (style blogs help! they seem shallow sometimes but they can be very good in creating a style and finding ways to flatter your body. already pretty is a good one)

Protip:  My body doesn't look like a sausage.  I don't even know anybody's body who looks like a sausage (bifurcated lower body etc).  I know people who look like Venus figurines, though.  I just figure that someone else's degree of steatopygia isn't exactly my problem.  It's also not my problem when people start using "that pear-shaped girl" as shorthand.

(seriously, tights are just tight pants without seams. Come on guys.)
And that makes them look like underwear. Do you want to look like you are walking around in your underwear?

If you like it, wear it, but I still think it looks bad. I do think it would be a lot better with close-fitting jeans. Maybe it's the extra thickness, but the tight jeans removes the element of "If she bends over or the wind picks up, I'm going to see something I really don't want to".

I have a question for the fashion thread. I found sweaters that I like, but they are wool. Wool itches. I don't tend to wear long sleeved shirts, so if I got one of those sweaters, I would be itching constantly. Does anyone know of a way to either soften the wool to the point where it won't itch or to line the inside of the sweater so my skin isn't touching the wool? It seems like it should be an easy sewing project, but my mother isn't sure, and she is far more experienced with sewing than I am.

phooey: I don't think either of us were saying fat bottoms are a faux pas (my bottom is fat, I happen to like it). We're just saying you should adapt your style to your body! :P

@Drill King: I think a better idea would be to buy a thin, long-sleeved t-shirt that you can wear underneath your sweaters. Easier than adding lining to every single sweater, and you can use the same shirt for all the different sweaters so none of them itch. Of course, it'd have to be pretty thin and as form-fitting as possible so it doesn't add loads of bulk and make you die of overheating.

Goddammit. I thought I was done being mistaken for a girl on this board.

Seriously, though, I think I mis-typed. There is a type of sweater that I like, and I am going to find the one that fits me best. So I will just be having the one sweater. I suppose I could get some light long-sleeved tees, if I can find any (I don't imagine they come in packs like light short-sleeve tees like I use for undershirts do), but I don't like having a part of my wardrobe require another part being clean. Especially when the sweater could be worn for longer without washing than the T-shirts could without driving away the people that sit next to me in class.

edit: wait, if I sewed a liner in, and wore the sweater+liner over another shirt, would that require me to wash the sweater more often?

I imagine you'd basically have to wash it more anyway because the lining/tee would be closer to your body. Not sure, though - how often I have to wash things isn't exactly a main concern in my wardrobe, I just wash them when they're dirty.

And I actually thought you were a guy all along - perhaps it was the word 'form-fitting?' that made you think otherwise? Iunno, I just think avoiding bulk is nice all around, especially with undergarments.

Andy looks great, seriously, lose the preconceived notion that 'tights as pants' is horrible. Really if you are magnetically drawn to stare at the outline of a butt or vagina then convince yourself that it repulses you, that is your problem. Dont project it onto other people.
