I am disappointed it is not made out of a fossil. False advertising!

Your post was fine before you edited it.

i would have just posted twice but then the second one would have fallen on the pagebreak and nobody would have understood what was happening and come on that ruins everything

Fossil watches are the BEST affordable watches around. Seriously. Second best in my opinion is Swatch, who obviously has a very different style.

I have an Arnette watch I never wear - with a baby blue strap
A Fossil watch which I wore constantly with a metal strap (which I got for $10!)

And a new watch which is a beautiful Citizen Eco-drive which I love and it's so beauitful and small and has a black leather strap!

Guys, I want a fossil watch but it is going to cost around the $100 mark (maybe $80 at the least), so I can't really work out how to justify buying it if I have a phone with a clock on it on me at almost all times. I really really want one, though.

What I am saying is, convince me to buy a watch, guys. I have been wanting one for about a year and a half.

Also, my brother has an Eco-Drive watch (they're the ones that charge the battery with light, right?) and it is the coolest watch. It has a leather strap, but a clasp like most metal-band watches, so it doesn't get worn. All the lady watches I have seen are kinda ugly, though. The fossil watches are much nicer, plus I can mix and match bands and faces!

Hannah you need a watch. Everyone is cooler with a watch. Plus it means you can just look at your wrist instead of having to get your phone out all the time. And it gives you something to do when you're just standing around. Look at the time, oh my goodness.

My wrists are too covered with scars bracelets to accomodate wearing a watch. Also most guys watches are ugly as hell. I get around this problem by wearing a pocket watch! "Oh what's the time? I don't know, I'll check my pocket!"

ok, this really shits me:
nice looking watch on the US website = US$65

same watch on the australian website = AU$150

I wouldn't really call a $150 watch an affordable watch. I would pay $150 for a fossil watch, because I know they should last a long time, but that doubling of the price really gets my goat. Why does this always happen?

I've got a watch similar to this one that I got for my 21st. It's a gorgeous watch, though unfortunately too classy for me to wear very often. It's really thin, which is great since I can't stand (and don't have the arms for) big, typical mens' watches.

-edit, changed the picture to the model I have.

That's my watch, except there's no Day thing, the ring around the face is smooth, and all the details on the face are black. Mine is also somewhat scratched, because I have had it since I was 13. It is a great watch, will work for years to come and won't go out of style ever and looks good with pretty much everything.

I don't wear a watch because I really really have a hard time reading analog clocks. Go ahead and make fun, I'm sure my grade school teachers are feeling a disturbance in the force:/ I seriously can look at them about 5 times and never really come away with a solid idea of what the hell time it is.

fairly inexpensive for the most part. i paid about $150 CDN for mine but like i said, i wear it every day and will probably continue to wear it every day for like the next five years at least until i need to change the strap (not expensive) or battery (also not expensive) and also i love it very much so i figure it was a pretty good investment.

jimmy my watch is a man watch, i think fossil's man watches look way better than women's tbh

To actually tell the time it takes me longer than I'd like to admit, but most of the time you're only really concerned with one of the hands; it helps to roughly know what the time is before you look.

That watch that is in basically all my photos? It was $6. I get $6 watches because they last about a year and a half, sometimes more, and I don't have to worry about ruining them when a horse pins my arm against a fence or when I go diving in the ocean.

So after entirely too long of being just plain too broke to buy frippy things like clothes, I've finally got some new shit for this thread to critique and maybe tell me is too boring.

Photodump warning

See first I got these pants. They are very skinny and I am a bit curvy, but they were free! Also, I think they make my butt look pretty ok.

I wear them kind of a lot with this white top, because it is light and longish and kind of makes me feel like I'm wearing a lab coat except I'm not busy failing organic chemistry anymore! The camisole is new as well, but that's boring cause it's just black and lace-ish.

Next up is this dress! I've gotten used to spending pretty much no money on clothes, as evidenced by the fact that I totally winced at the thought that I was paying $20 for this thing. I like it a lot, but since it's cold and snowy and horrible out, I have only actually worn it as a top, by tucking it into pants and blousing it over a bit. It is kind of short, but short is ok for summer so there.

It also looks pretty cute with this new green cardigan! I had to battle my urge to buy it in black instead, but green is so much more cheerful.

You know that blousing thing I was talking about with the dress up there? I do that a lot, like here! Mostly I am just showing off the sweet giant buttons on these new jeans though. The shirt is pretty cool but I am lazy and forgot to take a picture where you can actually see it.

Last one! (your loading browser thingy sighs in relief)

This awesomely patterned shirt makes me look a bit pregnant maybe, but hopefully can be wrangled into something flattering! Advice welcome!

Hey nuts to you watches are the coolest. Also I have never posted a pic of my watch before!

here it is, I love it, it is the best.

Hey fashion thread in the past couple of days I have bought a pink linen oxford shirt, navy blue shorts, a purple cardigan and a bunch of underwear. Maybe pics of at least some of those things when I get the shirt in the mail.

Except for the underwear, you'll have to PM me for those pics.

It is pretty simple. A compass helps, but if you can figure a good notion of north in your city that'll do. It gets a little hazy between eleven and one but it is not really that precise anyways. Also it is useless at night.
I actually have a little thing which lets you tell time by the stars but it is useless at night of you live in the illuminated world and can't even make out the goddamn dippers.

he's from regina, we got drinks a couple of times and talked about cute members of local bands. i think that puts us at the status of "kind-of-bros" at the very least. now he lives in montreal where life is way cooler.
