DSL:
"I contacted him ... "
Trying to imagine how that went:
"Hi, I'm the mother of the ex-boyfriend of the woman with whom you're in a business arrangement, but dated once and decided to remain friends with? Anyway, his boss thought we might make a good couple? What do I do? Well ... "
Or maybe it just started as a phone order* for crullers or eclairs and she just worked her way up to that.
*It could happen. A TV host in California called up a pizza place in his Ohio hometown to have some pies flown out. I imagine they needed a reheat once they arrived.
Kugai:
Or they could have been Skyping each other
Hmmmm
I wonder if that qualifies as Internet Porn? :-D

Since "X" means "Christ", wouldn't it just be "Xian"?

Tell that to X-tina Aguilera. That has been bugging me for years.

Is it closer to Cross-tian and Cross-tina Aguilera?

I mean, sure, if you say it out loud. But that's not why they use it. X is a substitute for the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter in the Greek Χριστός, which means "anointed" and is where "Christ" comes from. Which makes it all the funnier when Fox News and their like claim "Xmas" is secular.

What's that you say? Fox News is a degenerate hive of ignorance, misinformation, and outright fantasy posing as a news source? Nooo, it are unpossible!!
Nepiophage:
Just wondering . . . What kind of "meeting" is Veronica likely to have in Northampton?
