Race car is the reason to even more absurd things. Back when the Turbos first entered the F1, BMW designed an engine that broke their test bench. It was built to stand 1250bhp.

Then there's Nobuhiro Tajima's twin-engined Suzuki Escudo to climb the Pikes Peak. You read that right. He put two 911 engines on a tubular frame with a fiberglass body that slightly resembled a Suzuki Escudo and called it a climb. He's done that to other suzukis, ofc.

Then there's Loeb's 885bhp "Peugeot 208", also for the peak. And some dude raced a 1000+bhp Tacoma some 20 years ago.

And of course, the legend itself. The MG Metro 8r4 rallycross. Someone was crazy enough to put a 4l V8 into a vehicle the size of a Mini. The old one.

Because Race Car.

I'd actually like to participate, but I'm pretty sure it'd take a crapton of money.

Also, I don't think I'd be able to fit an engine big enough on my 1.2l Chevrolet Aveo.

Well, there's also the whole matter of replacing the transmission and reinforcing the chassis.  Used to work with a guy who (with some friends) decided to stick a Jaguar V12 into a Ford Fiesta and the motor nearly tore the car apart.

Well you certainly can't participate with THAT kind of cowardly dross.

Don't underestimate the little cars. Mini has 4 consecutive overall victories in the Montecarlo Rally back in the 60s.

And obviously I wouldn't go in the competition without doing some tuning. Although I probably wouldn't enter the Aveo and still have it street legal regardless. It's FWD. Ew.

Life would be much easier if my 1992 Legacy hadn't given up on life :(

That's literally a 2 stage turbo. As in, a turbo fed to other turbo. Sweden, man.

Reminds me how the dude in charge of Lancia didn't believe in turbos. They won the first Group B world rally championship with a supercharged engine. And then he had to give in and put a turbo on the Delta S4 - which was too big, so he put a supercharger for low revs.

Let's be fair, we've been force-feeding air to our engines since the late 70s. We're just going crazy with it now.

The only card trick thing I ever tried was a couple of weeks of trying to do a "perfect shuffle". I couldn't reliably riffle off 26 cards, but after a while I could tell exactly how many I riffled just from feel. I never got below the 2-4 range on doubled cards on the shuffle, however, and then just moved on.

They're more just stereotypes, I wasn't making a point. I don't really like Axe that much, but I mean, all deodorant basically does the same thing. Having said that, I pretty much only use Old Spice, I don't know why. I also don't what Bearglove is supposed to smell like, but that's the type I have currently.

The issue I have with Axe is how the people in the commercials coat themselves in it when they put it on. That leads idiots to think that's how you're supposed to apply it.

I also don't like the inherent sexism in their ads, but that's pretty broad across the board for a lot of ads.
