No he's not! An end is a beginning!

The big question is whether or not Madagascar has shut down everything.

This is going to sound terrible, but how does one actually GET to Madagascar?

One does not simply walk into Madagascar...unless they're walking off a boat, I guess.

Or a plane.

Or a dirigible.

This show was generally dismally unfunny, but I enjoyed watching it for some reason. Also its few jokes that landed (like this one) were fucking hilarious.

I've seen it.  The problem is presumably one of the many I'm seeing caused by servers disabling SSL3 because of Poodle, and the clients needing to catch up (e.g. new FireFox 34 due soon).

Tapatalk for Android is affected, but Tapatalk for iPhone seems OK.  I can't read the forum at all on my XP machine, even though it has the same version of Opera that I'm using now.

The forums no longer have an http backup; they are (since yesterday) only https, and once again they go through CloudFlare, like the comic.

I've also seen Thunderbird hang trying to access changed servers.  Seeing as one survey says that less than 0.1% of Internet traffic uses SSL3, these effects seems much more widespread than they should.

Foxhole, now with fox.

Official Marine Corps policy has killed the fox hole, disliking the implication that one hides in them. Marines now dig fighting holes, and supplement them with shallow sleeping trenches called ranger graves.

I'm confused. Is that a reaction to Lucy? Because Lucy is not Japanese or a cyborg.

I imagine the same thing kind of happened in a reverse kind of way with Idris Elba playing a space norseman in Thor.  Honestly if they do a good job I don't think it really matters but others seem to disagree.  That isnt to say ScarJo is the only person who could play the role.  Just the ones the hollywood executives probably preferred because she's big right now.  the industry is screwy.  :psyduck:

No, the actress has been approached about playing the lead role in a live action version of Ghost in the Shell.

According to the wiki, Margot Robbie is in talks to play the lead. So would the live-action version not explicitly take place in Japan, I guess?

Game...blouses.

GM, did the Marines actually get rid of foxholes, or just the name?

Just changed the name for it to "fighting holes"

Also I'm going to go out on a limb and say based on the director, and just Hollywood's track record with actual deep subjects any GITS movie made in the West is going to be such a massive pile of shit it would be a coprophiliac strawberry patch's wildest dreams come true.

I love Ghost In the Shell and the philosophical concepts it approaches as we've discussed several times on this forum. The Wachowski siblings might have been able to pull this off. (Maaaaybe. And that's because they already tried to basically make a GITS movie with their Matrix trilogy) The guy who brought us Snow White And the Huntsman doesn't have a snowball's chance on Mercury.
