Moose weigh in at LEAST half a ton, and there's reports of examples at a ton and some change in remote Alaska.

That's only Alaskan moose. (I know that's sorta the ones we were talking about)

There's no such thing as a Kurdish state, therefore the guy who is supposedly a Kurd burning a flag is either not a Kurd or a terrorist.

Yay I suppose

The Kurdish-held part of Iraq is pretty much a de facto state; the United States' dealings with Iraqi Kurds reflects that, and I think that even Turkey's moving toward recognizing a Kurdish state (though I think they'd prefer that it was carved out of the Iraqi and Syrian areas controlled by Kurds currently, versus the Kurdish regions in their own country).

That gentleman burning an ISIS flag is raising the flag of Iraqi Kurdistan, and he is most certainly NOT a terrorist. The Peshmerga are fantastic troops and several of my close friends owe their lives to Kurdish warriors related to the man pictured.

The Kurdistan Region of Iraq has existed since the 1970s, and basically functions as an independent state outside of Baghdad's control, especially since the ISIS offensive. The Kurdish Regional Government has announced referendum plans, and since the Peshemerga (the Kurdish military forces)  are some of the more effective portions of the IA and are gaining  international support, I doubt Baghdad will have much ability to complain.

There's no such thing as a Kurdish state,

Yet.
If the U.N decides to do the smart thing, it'll break off the northern part of Iraq (and maybe part of Syria) for the Kurds and formally recognize it as a new country, and if the Sunni and Shia can't stop infighting, break the rest of the country back to the way it was before the British Empire basically created Iraq out of three different countries.

The U.N. shouldn't be involved. This is a Kurdish problem. The globalists can stay in New York, or preferably move to Geneva. Same deal with the in fighting. Global intervention is the last thing they need. They're independent nations with allegedly rational humans in them, they can sort  it without some proclamation from UN scum.

Also, where's "The Wheel of Time" which will make even the finished Martin series look like a walk in the park. The only figure I could find was 3.3M before the books completed by Sanderson, which would probably place it comfortably over 4M.

Moose can be scary beasts.  I witnessed the results of a Moose vs. JB Hunt semi-truck encounter.  The semi arrived at the JB Hunt depot on two separate flatbed trailers.  According to the driver, the moose was last seen wandering off into the Alaska woods with 6 shots from a .44 (no less, no more) and apparently no worse for wear.

If anyone is familiar with the show Survivorman, when he was trying to survive a week on Northern Ontario in autumn he said his biggest fear was a bull moose in rut.  Apparently they're territorial to the point of insane aggression against anything.

That chart makes me want to read all of those books and see how long it takes.

Jimor- my husband made it his mission to finish those books and it's taking him a loooooong time. I believe he just started the ones written by Sanderson and he said that while they read very similar, the newer books don't beat you over the head with all the minute details that Jordan did.

They never posted the source where I got this (imgur) but someone made a twitter account for it a few days ago.  So far its not impressive. Pretty sure its just a one off.
