C'mon; AFD was killer. As was their output before that. They just got flabby, quickly. Can you say you wouldn't do the same in their position? I am 6 years older than you so I expect the impact of AfD on my Anthrax/Metallica/Slayer world was bigger than the big album release when you were watching out. But they single-handedly took metal (I don't deal with sub-genres) back out of the hands of the 40+ guys who made us feel small at concerts and back into the hands of us 16-20yos. Thats how it felt in Scotland. I am sure you have more input over there.

Met them 20 years back at an Exploited gig I did sound for. They seemed like twats, in the same way as when I did sound for Matt Lucas and David Walliams for a Little Britain comedy tour, they seemed like twats.

Nothing but criticism. Individual headphone feeds, lovely kit, but all they could do was complain.

20 years later I had the Offspring in my studio for a warm-up gig before a tour date. Met up with them, chilled and explained smoking outside (rule everywhere, is it not?), put them in a rehearsal room for 5 days.

They ruined my brand new carpet stubbing cigarettes out, ordered indian food and dropped it on the floor and stained it. Just threw stuff past the bin.

Mainly carpet issues TBH. I tried to bill the agent for the cleanup and he told me he was fired 2 dates in, and he already knew of £20k worth of problems. Christ knows what they would have caused in an affluent country.
