--- Quote from: hedgie on 20 Sep 2015, 23:54 ---Methinks that I'll stick with Helvetica as my go to font.  It's clean, elegant, and not as pretentious as Bauhaus.

I'm such an old fashioned fart. My defualt font in every word processor I've ever used that supports WYSIWYG has been and still is Times New Roman. I gotta have my serifs.

--- End quote ---

For a long document, Times is an easier font to read.  For shorter things (<2 pages), sans serif fonts are easier things to read, at least in my experience.  Now, there are some, like Open Dyslexic that are absolutely hideous, but quite useful for those who need it, even if it makes their typography brain wince.

BenRG:
Oh Bubbles! Of all the Hollywood character flaws to have, you had to have Marty McFly's!

Okay so, opinions please! Which of the following do you think Bubbles will do?

* Not turn up at the party;
* Turn up 'fashionably late' and insist that she is "protecting my employer's investment by ensuring Faye Whitaker does not come to harm";
* Turn up and then simply be a silent, brooding presence in the corner of the room (a futile gesture as Emily engages her in one-sided small-talk anyway);
* Come chasing after Faye with a transparent excuse for changing her mind;
* Turn up for the party and spend her entire time telling everyone that she isn't having a good time but being suspiciously sociable about it;
* Turn up, get propositioned by Pintsize and end up having an increasingly impassioned debate with Momo about AI rights that Faye mentions could be excused by both of them being drunk if that wasn't physically impossible;
* Not turn up but, as she sits alone in the dark of the repair bays, delivers a heart-rending introspective monologue about why she wishes she was brave enough to do go to the party.Or you might have your own ideas! Let us know!

War Sparrow:
It is my hope that Bubbles realizes she doesn't have to prove anything to Faye, accepts that there is nothing wrong with not associating with others if you don't want to, and goes home to have the equivalent of a cup of tea and a book. Faye gradually learns to accept this about Bubbles, and stops pushing her to be something she doesn't want to be.

Of course, that doesn't make a good plotline.

chaospersonified:
I expect she's familiar with Pintsize, through reputation if nothing else, given he's the one who knew the place to begin with. I think more likely she'll show up, make the least amount of appropriate social dealings, then retire into the night. She's not rude, if people approach her, she won't ignore them, but she wouldn't give them too much reason to think they should continue pressing.

Marigold would still be stuck in her room full time with this theory.
