FWIW, I'm feeling a major mini-arc starting up here. Depending on how much he wants to do, Jeph could easily spend months on this one night of the party at Marten and Faye's apartment!

Monday Morningitis and a faulty Smoke Alarm I can't reach and is making an irritating, high pitched whine. Waiting on the Maintenance Guy to show up to deal with it

Though I am tempted at this stage to take a large heavy object to it.

Okay, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that today's strip says something about Jeph. Specifically, it says that he despises the engineering standards that Apple puts into the iPad and iPod. He dislikes their software updates even more!

Now, why is there no porn on Winslow? We know that Marigold gave Hanners her Fireman Porn not too long ago so what device does Hanners use to view it?

Well, I oppose 1 km/h speed.

That means Winslow manages 1,000 meter in 3,600 seconds.

So he can travel 1 meter in 3.6 seconds. With two feet that are basically fixed distance at at most 0.1 meters away from each other. At most because for example the iPhone 6 is 0.067m wide. And this while having to holding balance since he cannot get up again once he falls.

That means he makes a maximum step every 0.36 seconds, or a half step every 0.18 seconds - at more than 5 steps per second. I'd say thats hopelessly impossible, given the extremely disfunctional, non-optimized for walking form of his body.

I would rather estimate he takes about 0.8 seconds to make a single normal, half-maximum step, which would be approx 0.05m, if he's in a real hurry. That would result in a maximum speed of 225 meter per hour.

(I want to keep it safe so that if there are any other unmelted lugwrenches out there, I can start a breeding program and reintroduce the wild lugwrench to these forums)

In Brazil they call U.S. citizens "norte-americanos" (North Americans), so as not to be confused with Americans, who reside in all of North and South America. That always seemed off, because in attempting not to slight people from Latin America, they're effectively doing the same thing to Canadians...

Central Americans always get the shaft. I don't think Canadians can complain much-we use Asian, European, and African to refer to residents of those respective continents (Though I've never heard "South American, oddly).

But "American" generally just refers to folks from the US, and Canadians will throw temper tantrums if you call them American.

I was born in North Carolina. The demonym for that is straightforward, "North Carolinian".

I now live in Massachusetts. The demonym for that is much less straightforward. Variously "Bay Stater", "Massachusite" (which sounds like a mineral), or (most commonly) "Masshole".
