Personally, I'd prefer Raven and Brun.

I was going for characters that have shown up in the last 1000 comics :-P but that one would be interesting too. Team them up with Emily and they would invent time travel.
Thrillho:
Sven and May in one panel is actually my two least favourite people in the comic interacting. Amazing that I didn't come out in hives, and actually enjoyed the interaction. I think the eneMay of my Svenemay is my friend... May.
TheEvilDog:
Looking at today's comic and I don't know, I just find it...bleh. I don't mind Sven, I can tolerate May. I can't quite explain what it is, but I really feel like the comic has lost some impact the last few months. I'm not talking about the idea that EVERYTHING-MUST-BE-DRAMA, but it just feels like we keep treading old ground, like "Character A has existential crisis. Character B makes sarcastic comment. Character A clarifies. Character B makes smartass comment that is a workaround for Character A to express what they actually feel." Or something to that effect.
Or maybe this is just the effect of being a long time reader of a long run comic.
Mr Intrepid:
Oh yeah, he's definitely gonna write a song about this
But it is nice to see Sven have a moment of clarity about his past.
BenRG:
I think I see where Sven is coming from: He doesn't really trust himself to not make the same mistakes again. He's too easily distracted by sexual attraction, jumping to the New Hot Babe, even if he really gets on well with his current partner. Whilst May is right that it's possible for people to have a sexual relationship without it 'turning into a car crash', I'm not sure if it's possible for Sven.
I suppose this is why I think that any long-term relationship that Sven will get into may be asexual. Sex has only ever complicated matters for him and has never really ended well. So, I could see him focussing on emotional attachment and trying to keep the physical stuff to one side as much as he could. This is one of the reasons why I can see him ending up with Hannelore at some point: Both of them wanting an attachment but not wanting (Sven) or being able to (Hannelore) have any but the most limited sexual aspect to it.
