If there are only seven basic plots then they will keep coming round again. When you get old enough you get used to it!
Tova:
I'm with Castlerook here, I'm afraid. It's not repetitive in the only-seven-stories sense at all. Rather, there's a bunch of exposition telling us nothing new.
BenRG:
I have to disagree there, Tova. It's not telling us much that's new, at least in terms of Sven's behaviour. However, it's really the first time we've seen Sven acknowledge just how totally his commitment-free lifestyle has poisoned his ability to sustain relationships. It will be interesting to see how this affects his decision-making going forwards.

I think Sven might need a therapist as much as Dora does..or at least some more close friends who aren't Wil, who is working(?) I think.

I had completely forgotten that Wil and Sven are friends and have now gone on an extensive Wil-and-Sven-centric archive dive. :psyduck: Why are there so many rabbit holes and why am I so clumsy dang

He didn't say that his commitment-free lifestyle has poisoned his ability to sustain relationships. That was you.
All he said was that he didn't feel free to just go out and engage in casual sex anymore. Something he already said way back in #793.
If today's comic advances the story beyond #793, it's not by much.
P.S. Maybe it was meant to be like that little clip that they insert into the 'PREVIOUSLY ON QUESTIONABLE CONTENT' trailer at the start of the episode where they remind you of what happened way back in season one in case you forgot/weren't watching back then.
P.P.S. #793 isn't even post-Faye, is it? Here's the post-Faye version.
I mean, it's like reading a new comic about Marten realising that he really needs to take control of his life. Yeah, we know.
