I genuinely loved that line! I squealed with laughter. Not sure if it was in the script or if he improvised the line, but it was damn good.

Agreed. After this episode, I hope Mayfeld ends up being the Doug Judy to Mando's Peralta, and shows up once a season. I'd be surprised if that doesn't happen, but I really hope it does.

I loved the finale. It was great! I went on twitter afterwards and was kind of surprised to see a lot of cynicism towards it. Personally I thought it was fun, intense, and dramatic. I am curious on what they're going to do for season 3 though...
(click to show/hide)... now that Grogu is out of the game. Maybe he'll come back. The Mandalore Throne is going to be interesting. Din literally doesn't want anything to do with it, and Bo Katan is obsessive over it. Kind of feels like King Arthur pulling the sword from the stone. He wasn't trying to be king, he just wanted to get the knight he was squiring for a sword for the tourney. Mando wasn't trying to become king, he just wanted to save the kid.
I think some fans are going to be sore about the handling of Boba Fett, but honestly I thought it was fine.
Yes Luke's appearance was reminiscent of the Vader hallway scene from Rogue One, and I am fine with that. I thought that was the point. I am also fine that he was the one to save the day. To me it was hinted that some Jedi was going to go after Grogu to train him and its been well established that Luke opens a Jedi school. So it makes sense he would be the one to answer Grogu's call and find him via the force.
My wife cried at the end when Mando took his helmet off for Grogu. I was a little misty eyed too.
I would be fine if they didn't do a season 3. This seems like a good jumping off point. But then again they did open up some questions at the end. Not sure its worth a whole season though.

I can't say that I am. It seems inevitable.

It's twitter. Twits are gonna tweet.
(click to show/hide)I personally think it the episode had it's weak spots, and going deus ex Jedi via Luke felt. . . . . off, for a show that was supposed to be this detached thing from the story of Star Wars, etc. I don't know if they just drifted into it or it was a conscious decision but eh, whatever. Luke got to do his Hallway scene, like his Father before him, and it was awesome.
A personal pet peeve was, like, just Luke showing up literally minutes after Mando saves his boy, then what, He just has to give him up there and then? no goodbyes? No letting the little guy have some time to acclimate? God, c'mon, Luke can't hang about a bit, learn a few things about the kid and his travels? DAMN YOU FILONI MUST YOU MAKE ME HURT SO!!
Mm, yeah, so anyway, aside from all that this was a strong episode in a strong season once again. I loved Gideon throwing that wrench in Bo-Katan's need for the Darksaber, trying to get her to start fighting there on the bridge. Wish we'd had the gang fight some Dark Troopers, really show just how much of a threat they are but eh. I'mma stop now because I loved that episode despite the many tiny gripes I have.
