The Mandalorian
LeeC:
Yeah those are valid nitpicks but some people are treating this season likes its season 8 of GoT. This baffles me.
(click to show/hide)Would have been cool to see Mando use the darksaber on a dark trooper. Maybe kill off a couple of characters too before Luke shows up. I do feel like Grogu and Din had a moment, and maybe I just wanted it to last, but it would have been cool to know where he was going so they could at least be the star wars equivalent of pen pals.

Soooo....
(click to show/hide)Is no one going to bring up the fact that its quite possible Grogu was at the new Jedi academy when Ben Solo destroyed it?
And that he might now be Grogone.
I'll see myself out.

(click to show/hide)I agree with Lee - the seed was planted for Luke's arrival and was reasonably foreseeable.
And we got more than enough opportunity to watch them be badass on their own as far as I am concerned.
The whole "death is merely a setback" thing to bring back another fan favourite character annoyed me more than any of that stuff.
Also, please please let that be all there is. Learn to quit while you're ahead!

I said as much to my wife after the episode. However we don't really know. There's a lot that can happen between now and then.
(click to show/hide) Grogu may leave after learning to control his powers. After all its ultimately up to him to decide if he want to be a Jedi or not. He may quit like Ahsoka before the jedi school was razed. He already survived one of those.
I am sure Rebels fan are confused about the ending with Bo-Katan though
(click to show/hide) Since she was handed it by Sabine. Maybe it has to do with why she lost it, or why there wasn't a big enough rally to her cause?

For what it's worth...
(click to show/hide)I'm still expecting the events of the sequel trilogy to be retconned by some Force and time-travel shenanigans
Just to freak eveyrone out, end the special episode in question with Mark Hamil (slightly de-aged) accepting a child identified as 'Rey' as his latest padawan whilst, in the background, Mara Jade rolls her eyes and pronounces: "You never were able to resist a foundling apprentice, were you Farmboy?"
