hmm, Interpol, Radiohead, The Smiths, Mogwai, Doves, Blur, Elbow. Not all their stuff obviosuly, but those are the bands that spring to mind when I think of misery.

I listen to Cold when I'm down. Even though I'm hate Kurt Cobain/Nirvana, their song The Day Seattle Died really hits.
