Taste_of_blood:
It's a SPISS (Snow Patrol Induced Singing Spasm), most people are infected after hearing Run.

muffy:
Yup, I get that a fair bit.  My poor housemates...
I also got sent some promo matches with 'light up, light up' on the packet (geddit? Light...oh, never mind) which kept the song entrenched in my brain

reva:
i really think this depends on someone's personal attatchment or stories behind the songs.  For me, it's Bright Eyes.  Which is sad in the first place, but still... Also "Katie, Come True" by Son, Ambulance.  But there's a specific story behind that.

Revenge_Therapist:
The Cure-Fear of Ghosts
I'm drifting away form all that I care about
and the further away I get
the less that I care
about drifting away.

muffy:
Awww...what a thread to resurrect -
I hereby add-
The Good Life - October Leaves/ Inmates

and
The Decemberists - From my one true love (lost at sea)

I recently dedicated a quarter of a page in our newspaper to the most intensely depressing songs in the world, so it's kind of fresh in my brain.
Also, Suede - Stay Together.
