Damien Jurado...his new cd is overall a bit weak but I like him overall. Sadly he played half or more of boring songs...oh well, the 1st opener was ok, but the second in some ways was better than Damien, well especially with the set he played....but yeah, the second opener was called 2 gallants which is just 2 guys as name implies, one guitarist and one drummer, with some nice southern playing. I'm not a music snob but I know it was influenced a lot by something, eh specific genre escapes me...anyways, pretty good show mostly. Hmm would post pics here but with the new moddings I fear rebuke and maybe there is a thread for that? *shrugs*

I saw Flogging Molly with The Briefs and The Dead Pets. The Dead Pets outplayed everyone.

Vulgargrad, at the Old Bar in Fitzroy. They play "Russian criminal songs" - and they're on again tonight! (Sorta imagine the Pogues, only Russian.)
