Well, last night I saw Lit and Everclear. Lit were really good, and the covered Pictures of You, which was cool. Everclear... eh. They were good, but nothing like they used to be. You can't lose 2/3 of a band and stay the same, I guess.
And tonight, I saw Flogging Molly. They were fucking amazing, and I still can't believe that they got such a great band to show up at springfest. I have to admit that I don't really know much of their stuff past the last album, but it didn't matter. The music started and the whole crowd was just so into it. I danced my heart out, and I even got to use my rarely brought out jig skills. If people from Alabama just had some manners in the pit, it would have been the perfect show.
We saw a little bit of the Black Crowes after them, but by then me and my friends were exhausted/hurt and they sounded a bit off, so we left after two songs.
All in all, it was a pretty damn good weekend.
mizaktik:
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. At the Anaheim House of Blues. It was a fine fine show. Third time I've seen those guys live, and they put on an excellent live show.
muffy:
I saw A and Instruction last night...
Instruction souned a bit like MCR but without the fun OTT bits or the emo leanings, and A were good, if you like that kind of thing, but I don't.
And, the gig was a no booze one. Grrr.
madamelau:
How can a gig have no booze? Thats ridiculous...
Okay Im getting a bit ahead of myself here but I'm semi-excited to half relive my Brit-pop days tonight...
So this time TOMORROW, the last show I saw will be the Tears
