12-13: They Might Be Giants

14-15: They Might Be Giants

16-17: They Might Be Giants

18: They Might Be Giants (Reel Big Fish comes in a close 2nd)

I don't know if I can match it up to specific years for the early parts, but:
Elementary school:  The Beach Boys
Middle school: Pink Floyd
15-16: The Poster Children
17-25: The Secret Stars

I've certainly had bands that I really like come up in the past few years, but sometimes you find the perfect one and it doesn't stop.

Also notice that I got dumber when I entered middle school.  I think this is pretty common.

Freezey:
1-5: The Mario Theme Song and other nintendo songs...
...6-9 draws a blank, though I know I Michael Jackson was in there for a year
10-12: Green Day, Green Day, GREEN DAY.
13-early 14: Bouncing Souls
14-early 15: Kid Dynamite
15-16 and onward: Kid Dynamite, Jawbreaker, Streetlight Manifesto.

I do listen to other types of music, but none of it gets me the same way these bands do. yarr.

I also grew up on Classic Rock. These are some of the most defining memories in my life

when I started remembering - 10: Strawbs, King Crimson, Uriah Heep, Magna Carta, Pink Floyd
10 - 13: Metallica, Guns and Roses, Green Jelly (I was still quite young then)
13 - 17: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Springbok Nude Girls (local), Radiohead, RATM, Stone Temple Pilots
18 - 20: Deftones, Terrorvision, Korn, Placebo, NOFX
21 - 24: All of the above and much more...including Mogwai, Incubus, Muse, Tool, APC
