I saw them play with Ted Leo when he came to Toronto, they're pretty good actually, not to exciting live though.
EDIT: Rockin' avatar, Matt Good is a GOD.

Not only are these just good local bands, but also good friends of mine:
Awesome Car Funmaker
They just recently finished producing their first EP with Garbage drummer, Butch Vig. "We play music. We play dance-able, rock-able, throw yourself on the floor and flail around-able music." They have mp3s for download on the site.
The Pipe Circus
Gotta respect the Sax-a-boom. :) Very funky with bongos and a sax. They are extremely high energy at their live shows. They remind me a lot of Little Blue Crunchy Things (another local band that has since broken up but a little more success nation-wide).

Oh, you NEED to see one of their own shows. Its seriously a awesome experience. Assuming you go when there in their home town and surrounding area theres tons of ppl who know when to clap and get all excited and dancin and stuff. Fun times. I missed the Ted Leo show so I can only imagine that most ppl were there for him and not the junciton (which makes sense :) )
Thanks. Matt Good is quite awesome. There aren't too many big acts that I can say I go see every chance I get but he is one of them!

OH MAN! Did you go to his last show here when he told all those people off that was great. A couple of them were friends of mine that were dancing. That made my fucking night.

I think i remember something along those lines happening. Fun times!
The best was the first stop of the white light rock and roll tour was in Grand Bend and my grandmother's cottage is near there so i decided to go. The only trick was there was a tornado the day before that wrecked a few homes a couple towns over. The show was at the Motorplex which is outside and soon as they were gettin ready the sky went nuts, it started pouring and the wind was so strong. they said they'd be delaying for a while and in the distance you could see a funnel cloud!! It was nuts. So i drove back to the cottage (which was a scary drive) and then came back when it settled down. They came on a played an awesome set including the new secret song which is a really country sounding track that seemed reall appropriate at a motorplex!!
Crazy night!
