OH MAN! I remember that! My friend got caught in that tornado and couldn't go to see the show, he was fucking crushed. He finally saw Matt Good for the first time after like like 7 years of being a fan! He was the crazy tall kid dancing like mad. My other friend was the guy with the huge mohawk. I know it was a while ago, but still felt like its worth mentioning.

Damn tornados!! The mohawk sounds familiar... but it was a while ago :)

I'm never quite sure where Revelation records picked up so many bands that I don't like. I got a sampler from them once, I couldn't listen to a single track all the way through.

--- Quote from: Spencer ---I'm not as well versed on my local scene as I was in the 90's. I just don't live in the clubs anymore :( However, this is my current favorite San Diego band
Goodbye Blue Monday
And I guess I'll say Pinback too, cause I just started getting way into them.
And while I'm at it, I'm gonna put Scarlet Symphony on the list too. I've only ever heard 2 of their songs, and I'm just way behind the bandwagon on this, but this is one of those bands you know you're gonna love. In fact, it looks like their cd is now orderable on their site, so I shall purchase one post haste.
Hey Yipjump, like I said, Im a bit past my SD Music prime. What other SD bands are you digging right now? Im fairly sure I saw Bunky on Fox Rox but I cant remember if I liked what I heard.

you forgot Via Satellite! [i'm not from SD, but i love VS]
anyways, reno bands. bafabegiya, arabella... i'll provide a link if you guys want to check out these post-hardcore lovens. anyone remember This Computer Kills? [best thing ever produced by the city of reno.]
go to Spacement Records to check out these two bands. also, disconnect is among my favorite bands here. i like all these bands so much.
when i lived in vegas, i enjoyed This Virus Makes Us Human and Jesus Fucked The Sun [but not so much for their music. haha.] anyways though, i don't listen to much post-hardcore or anyhthing too fast anymore. it's mostly a Camera Obscura, Pinback, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party fest for me. haha.
