What's your worst musical tragedy?

<< < (12/21) > >>

niatinari:
Oh, I completely forgot the mix tapes my friend Dani made for me.  Along with some awesome music I don't know how to trace, she took poems written by her and a friend and composed music to them and sang the words.  That's irreplaceable!

Skibas_clavicle:

--- Quote from: Aphi ---=pouts= ALllllllllllllllllll my Thursday CDs, confiscated by my parents, who were thoroughly convinced that I was turning into "some whiny, wrist-cutting emo kid"--only slightly paraphrased from what they actually said.

WHO DOES THAT? I never thought parents actually took music away from their children.  I listened to Misfits when I was 15, my parents just said the music sucked.  Wow, you poor child, even if the band's not great (by which I mean bad), you should still have all your cds! *hug*

KharBevNor:
I was listening to Carpathian Forest when I was 15...

But still, awful as it is, I find it funny, simply because of the thought that such people exist.

Er....thanks, I think? =pouts= I'm /still/ an avid Thursday fan, and like it or not, Geoff Rickly is an unhealthy-looking, thin, almost emaciated GOD of scremo.

Okay, so I'm a little obsessed. But I found the CDs, so tragedy averted---whiny, pretentious crap or not.

blindsuperhero:
Thursday are a good band. War All the Time was a bit emo for my liking but Waiting is a good album with some fantastic songs and a really interesting sound, and Full Collapse is just one of the best records ever made.
