What's your worst musical tragedy?

niatinari:
Oh, ouch, Jeridus, that is a tragedy.

Having things stolen sucks.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and getting the mumps the weekend I was due to see LCD Soundsystem and Maximo Park play The Cockpit in Leeds on their first UK tour (LCD's, that is), thereby being unable to move from my bed to get the train back to Leeds to see them. I will forever regret that. Will have to settle for future tours and Reading festival...

The epidemic continues! - getting landed with mumps stopped me from seeing and interviewing The Magic Numbers, playing with Pipettes, which upset me deeply, so I feel your pain

spizzletrunk:
When I heard some band on the radio late at night and memorized the chorus to the song but never located it.  It was a blissful song, totally amazing, the best thing you could expect to hear on commercial radio anyway.  It was bluesy with some kind of banjo thing going on and the lyrics seemed to be about. . .a train?  I don't know.  I can barely remember it now and I'll probably never find it.  Reminds me of the episode of Pete & Pete where Little Pete found "his song" but at the end could only remember a single chord.  Utter tragedy.

And for some inexplicable reason not buying tickets to see System of a Down at the London Astoria (capcity ~1500-2000?) despite having the funds and the time. I am fucking retarded.

*laughs like a man possessed as he dances round with his tickets*

Oh, I am cruel.

sketchyjoe:
My little brother deleted 3GB of music (downloaded on dial-up) to make room for porn.
