Oh Brother, Where art thou.

Storyteller:
Hehe. Few things are as entertaining as quoting Big Lebowski hours on end. Personally, I liked Fargo and Barton Fink better, since they has this very odd disturbing feeling. Barton Fink especially, with its incredible load of symbolism and surreal filming. Which features in Oh Brother... as well, by the way. Come to think of it, Barton Fink and Oh Brother... have many very simular themes.

KharBevNor:
Does it have lasers or orcs?

'cos if not, I don't wanna know.

deborah:
no, but it's (o brother where art thou) marginally based on homer's odyssey.

i was always a big fan of the chinese-minnesotan in fargo
"you're a super lady"

I have always wondered about that... what parts connect to what part of the Odyssey? The Sirines and the Cyclops are obvious... but what are the others?

Yes, that part totally defined the role of the cop (damned if I remember her name). Even though it had so little to do with the plot, it told us just how well she handles situations that affect and shock her.

KharBevNor:
But there are no lasers?

There should be more films with lasers. If I was making the universe, I would have pretty much started with lasers. Screw butterflies and daffodils. Lasers are where it's at.

+900 trillion points if you get the clumsily paraphrased reference
